Move Into Greatness is an athlete’s fitness studio where Colleen Wahl practices as a private New York City personal trainer and leads small group classes. We specialize as trainers for sport-specific and general athletes, fitness conscious New Yorkers, and those interested in enjoying their moving bodies. Conveniently located in Midtown West NYC, our services are about getting a complete and challenging workout, while learning the essentials of efficient movement.
Our teaching is based on Laban Movement Analysis and the Bartenieff Fundamentals, while integrating elements from other systems including somatic psychology and athletic coaching and training. Colleen Wahl’s approach to being a personal trainer emphasizes coaching athletic efficiency: finding the most effective, powerful, and effortless way to use your body.

The typical New York City personal trainer over-emphasizes action at the expense of what can be learned from the action. Our approach uses the action to teach proper movement patterns and biomechanics. We go beyond the pre-fab system of a typical New York City personal trainer, addressing each client’s needs and goals on a daily basis to design the day’s workout. Every session with Colleen as your personal trainer is about YOUR goals, and how learning to use your body more powerfully and efficiently can help you achieve both your fitness and your personal goals.

 Located in Midtown West NYC, we offer sessions with a personal trainer and a variety of group classes including spatial awareness, strength training for weight-lifters, and stress and pain reduction. All of our group classes emphasize discovering and enjoying your living body.
Movement has made me who I am. When I move, I feel better, I think better, and I am motivated. Through movement, I have learned to connect to myself and others, to define who I am, and to express myself in a manner I feel good about. Movement has taught me humility, compassion, and strength.
